As a Senior Engineer you will:
Be responsible for design and implementation of robust, efficient, and maintainable services,
Identify, design and develop performance optimizations and feature improvements of Storyteller service through code and architecture changes
Be responsible for performance metrics (runtime, memory consumption) of Augmented Analytics platform data pipelines
Cooperate with multiple internal and external teams to align on feature design and development including persistence layer, backend and frontend and integration of external services,
Product & Team:
Our proprietary “Storyteller” software is the foundation of Workday’s Augmented Analytics platform
The platform delivers automated analyses of people to business users without a need for a human analyst
Our automated analyses are presented to users in easily consumable and narrative focused insights
We are working closely with the Workday Analytics team in Silicon Valley
About You
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software
Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot
Good communication, time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven experience architecting and designing new features
Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles
Mastering whole software development lifecycle process
Deep knowledge of programming languages and frameworks
Experience with crafting detailed technical documents
Strong grasp of algorithms, design patterns, coding best practices, unit testing
Other qualifications:
Strong interest in learning Python for backend development
SQL, JDBC and core database concepts
Machine Learning and big-data processing
Cloud deployment and technologies
Distributed systems, scalability and performance tuning
