We are seeking an experienced Devops and Platform Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our robust and scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your expertise in deploying and managing storage, compute, caching and control plane solutions will be essential in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our core platforms.
Design and Implement AWS Infrastructure: Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, specifically focusing on compute , storage , caching, networking and control plane services
Automate and Orchestrate: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS resources.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software deployments.
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
Performance Optimisation and Cost Management: Analyse and optimize AWS resource utilisation, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies for efficient cloud operations.
Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices within the AWS environment, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level support for platform-related issues, collaborating with development and operations teams to resolve incidents and implement root cause analyses.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers. Potentially mentor junior engineers and share your expertise.
About You
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field.
8 years professional software development experience utilising Python or GoLang.
3 years of proven experience in cloud engineering, with hands-on experience with either Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
Proven understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including experience with monitoring, alerting, and basic fault analysis.
Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK(Solas) stack
CI/CD and Deployment: Jenkins and Teamcity, Helm, Kustomize, Argo CD and Argo Workflow.
Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
Compute: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, RDS
Infrastructure as Code : CloudFormation, Terraform
Possession of relevant cloud certifications is a plus, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Google Cloud Associate Engineer or similar.
Experience in designing and implementing automated solutions for build, infrastructure, and software configuration management.
Familiarity with implementing and adhering to Public Cloud best practices.
