The Department of Information and Security Systems at the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) in Lima, Peru, is seeking a passionate professor and researcher in Cybersecurity to join the vibrant academic community!

Once hired, you will:
✅ Develop and teach undergraduate courses
✅ Build a cross-disciplinary research program
✅ Secure competitive external funding
✅ Contribute to the department, the university, and the broader profession

What They’re Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
🔹 Ph.D. or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
🔹  Strong technical knowledge in Cybersecurity topics: Ethical Hacking, Network Security,  Cryptography, Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis or Incident Response.
🔹  Industry certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ (preferred but not required).
🔹  Have supported cybersecurity competitions like CTFs or hackathons (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications:
✨ Experience teaching classes
✨ Grant proposal writing expertise
✨ Interest in academic and/or community partnerships
