What you’ll be doing...

1:1 Personalization is our key Verizon enabler for growth and retention. In support of this, VCG is continuing its growth and centralization of these complex practices.

As a Base Personalization Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic direction of our AI products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery. Your vision in integrating AI recommendation, modeling, and other decisioning capabilities into our marketing strategy and platforms will help us meet our customers’ needs and make it even easier for them to do business with us.

This role will sit within the Digital Marketing & Base Management group in Verizon Consumer Group.  Along with your peers, you will be responsible for delivering $500M in incremental billed revenue in 2024 through incremental gross adds and reduced voluntary churn.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and communicating a clear product vision and strategy for AI products that align with the company's goals and needs.

  • Performing business analytics on how we implement tools, techniques, or processes to optimize KPI performance.

  • Presenting methodology, reasoning, approach, and learnings to the leadership team.

  • Creating test designs (treat vs control, champion vs challenger) to determine best performing technologies, strategies, or tools.  Deploy, measure, and collapse these tests optimizing our results continuously upward.

  • Partnering across stakeholders in DMBM, AI&D, GTS, CXO, and Finance to stakeholder our roadmap and statuses bringing this work to market.

  • Determining value add to the business, and re-socialize among peers and leadership stakeholders.

  • Gaining understanding, alignment, and approval to implement.

  • Determining go-forward optimizations based upon learnings.

You can be creative and visionary but can roll up your sleeves to structure a project plan, develop an analytics tool, or craft a presentation. 


You need to have:

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Six or more years of experience focused on marketing strategy and/or technology.

  • Experience with Data Warehousing, like Teradata SQL and BigQuery.

  • Experience in Pega Real-Time Decisioning.

  • Experience and high proficiency in project management.

  • Experience with negotiating, shaping and influencing ideas and actions, consensus building, conflict resolution, and navigating complex organizations to identify/connect right stakeholders to drive outcomes.

  • Experience creating executive presentations, adjusting messaging for specific audiences and present to all levels of an organization.

  • Quantitative and analytical skills, including experience conducting outside/inside research, analyze data, develop models and drive analyses, and financial planning and analysis skills to set and meet/exceed business targets.

  • Focus on ownership, problem solving and execution; including structuring and driving processes, measuring and communicating progress to achieve business targets, identifying obstacles, addressing remediation plans and demonstrating consistent/timely follow-up.

 

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree , MBA or advanced degree.

  • Experience in Predictive analytics and business application.

  • Working knowledge of Catalyst, Jira, and the Verizon Agile process.

  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical thinking; can work in an organized and self-sufficient manner in ambiguous and unstructured work situations.

  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic and motivated leader; ability to galvanize an organization around new ideas and solutions.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset; constantly incorporate different perspectives to identify opportunities.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet tight deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
